I have never realized how much effort one has to put into doubling your dog.
This is an art of its own. Before you even know what hit you, you are not
only being yelled at by your handler, by the one who is teaching you (except
for Twyla and Bud) but by the entire "congregation".
Nobody can tell me that this is not hard work. Everyone there knows where
you should go and stand and each one has a different idea as to where this
should be. Makes it interesting and VERY confusing. Forget the yelling when
the dog and a strong wind come toward you at the same time. This is work,
folks, and frankly an art that I have not entirely mastered yet. Twyla
thinks I'm a lost cause but eventually I'll catch on. Perhaps after my dog
gets her championship.

doublers don't get paid they get yelled at if they don't do it right
groomers do it so the big guys don't get hairy before they go in the ring
