This is probably the best idea yet. A vast majority of people getting
their first puppy have no clue as to the work involved to make that cute
thing into a solid citizen and a well loved member of the family.
I have had people absolutely astonished when they read in my list of
instructions that a puppy needs to go outside after every meal, and
quickly, and first thing in the morning and the last thing at night.
They expect the puppy to have an adult bladder.
One of the best things I have ever done is have a list of instructions
to hand out with the pup. I tell them that if they pay attention to my
list, they will get more enjoyment from the baby, and not have to punish
the puppy for natural mistakes. They can trouble shoot many puppy
errors by simply paying close attention. Doris E
