Laurie, I live in Texas...........and we have HOT springs, Hotter summers, and almost as HOT falls........our dogs HAVE to be used to that heat and in saying that, once the heat index hits 100 I have all mine up in the house. The problem is not the heat....but knowing how to deal with dogs in the heat. Mo I don't think it was any more cruel than what we (the > fancy) did with the dogs that VERY HOT AND HUMID day.
