I know it's the ears, we have been told so by several airlines.
We can ship a 90 lb Foxhound dog in a 500 crate. We cannot ship a 90 lb GSD
male in a 500 because his ears touch the top of the crate. Even when the
dogs stood together and were the same height at shoulder, they refused the
GSD.
I said I was going to tape their ears under their chin next time!
