This Monday night on the National Geographic channel there is a series starting
about a man that lives with wolves. I saw a preview about it on 20/20....looks
interesting.

southwestern wolf that is pure. He does like to meet people, but he falls over
in submission when approached. I see him now and then in the back seat next to
the early teen son of the owners. I have never seen this dog protect at all,
much less bite. I expect he prays no one will ever threaten him, he would die
of fright.
He is a fine pet, for a wolf, because he could not have survived in a pack.
This animal would not have made it to 6 months with his personality.

Probably not. An old friend of mine used to race a white German shepherd
dog sled team. He always had a wolf or two at the house. The last time I saw
him he had one. They were bigger than German shepherds, and very shy. I doubt
a wolf would ever attack a person, unless in a pack or perhaps if the person
were injured.
I also saw a young magician at the convention who was using a wolf in his
act. They had him since he was a pup, and was very bonded to the kid, but still
quite shy. Didn't seem to be aggressive at all. But, I am no Little Red
Riding Hood either.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
