  The Tuesday, February 26, 2008 Broward County Commission meeting has
  an agenda item to select the National Animal Control Association to
  perform an assessment of the Broward Animal Care & Regulation
  Division and to reserve $30,000 to fund the assessment.

  Please call/fax/email the Broward County Commissioners and ask them
  to postpone voting for this until they can review a formal proposal
  from Nathan Winograd. From everything we have been able to determine
  it will cost considerably less and provide more for the money.

  70. A. MOTION TO APPROVE selection of the National Animal Control
  Association (NACA) to perform an assessment of the facility,
  operations,
  and programs of the Animal Care and Regulation Division (Division) and
  to authorize the County Administrator to take the necessary
  administrative
  actions necessary to enter into a contract with the NACA.
  B. MOTION TO ADOPT Budget Resolution within the General Fund
  transferring $30,000 from the Commission reserve to fund an assessment
  for the Animal Care and Regulation Division
