There was a German shepherd on the news this morning. His name was Bear. Evidently he was a rescue, (a very good looking dog, perhaps a long coat), and his owner was a woman who had seizures. Evidently after about two days, Bear would lean up against her leg, if she was about to have a seizure. A few days ago the owner fell down the stairs. The dog had tried to keep her from going outside, but she ignored him. She passed out, and the dog started to go door to door, scratching on front doors to try to find someone. Evidently an animal control officer saw this, and the dog lead him back to the owner. She is doing fine, and the Humane Society, (I know), awarded Bear Rescue Dog of The Year. It was a nice story, a good looking dog, and a plea to help shelters to rescue dogs. Evan L.
