I read this with interest. Many were upset with the judging,  and will be 
in the future, but it is now part of history and over.  Some  day one of 
today's youngsters will talk about the National. They will say things  like:  
"Remember the year the bitches were in and out so fast, or the one  where 
those two great males ran together, and the one did so much better, or the  
Grand Victor that was the oldest dog shown, and still looked great, or when 
that 
 dark bitch went all the way, and the  handler was crippled up, or how 
about  when Mannix won, (no the other Mannix), or when all the bitches looked 
exactly  alike, or when so many selects went up, or when the handler died in 
the ring, or  where the judge had to give it up and go to the hospital, or 
where it was so  cold we all had to buy heaters to put in our pants.  
Memories. 
 
We have so many memories of our Nationals, and each other, and  one more 
makes it just more interesting.  It isn't what happened that  matters, or who 
did it, but rather that we went, we enjoyed, some won, some  lost.  What or 
who did what is over,and history. The great thing is that we  will go one 
for another year, everyone tried to do their best, and they  supported our 
great breed.
 
Helen did her thing her way.  She loves out breed,  supports out club, and 
she did it her way.  That is all we can ask,and all  we can expect.
 
Next year will be another memory.  The best thing is if  we can be there, 
and the past is passed.
 
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
