I have had German Shepherds since I was 10 years old. The first dog show I went to was Delaware Valley German Shepherd Dog Club show in the late 1970's early 1980's. I saw The Great LaMar Kunhs on the end of the lead on a dog that just seemed to "float" around the ring. I have never seen any conformation dogs before and after seeing this dog I knew I had to have one. The dog I am talking about was Ch. Wellspring's Ironside or Charlie as his owner Mary Flounders called him. My next dog was a "Charlie" granddaughter through his son Ch Patja's Racketeer v. Ambers. What a dream come true. I always loved to watch her glide around my yard. I could watch her trot for hours. She is the dog I miss the most, and can't wait to be reunited with, at the "Bridge".
