Anne, I'm not sure why anyone would be jealous of something they're not really
interested in and I am certainly not afraid of performance people. I have sat
and watched their shows and enjoyed them but that's not my main interest. To
make a long story short, I have no problems with them but don't feel we should
be paying for their venues. They are the ones who seem to be draining our
assets. And, some sense of caring would be welcome on BOTH sides.

I wonder, are other breeds so divided between Conformation and Performance?
Seems like the GSDCA is almost extreme. Would do well to remember that ALL are
GSDs and part of the club and should be having a good time. Can't the
Conformation people appreciate an outstanding performer, and can't Performance
appreciate a great Conformation? Sounds like jealousy.
To make the club work, it needs both. Wouldn't it be great to see more cross
over from both sides. A great Conformation dog excelling in Performance and
vice versa. Just because some particular dog doesn't fit your idea of
perfection,is no reason to snub them from either side of the ring.
I can understand not helping each other in a show when busy getting ready. But
when there is time, showing some sense of caring would be most welcome!
As long as each is afraid of the other taking over the club instead of
embracing each other, I don't see how it can survive.
