I think grooming should be mandatory for all dogs that compete in a public
ring. working, obedience, agility conformation. If you are in public with your
dog you are representing the breed.

I agree with Sally. But I think this needs to be taken even further.
Breeding stock needs to be tested, or rather, evaluated, for soundness.
Structural, mental a health.
Because saying that working people breeds just for working people, or show
people breed for only show people is BS.
Breed German Shepherd Dogs to the standard. Then you will always be right.
