Got my Review today - YAHOO!
Looked at the trophy immediately. The cover is STUNNING, btw. It's also
painfully obvious that whoever photoshopped the trophy into the cover or the
photo itself accidentally wiped part of the handle off. It's clearly not
broken. I can see parts of that handle blended in.
Shoot, I've done that a bizillion times myself - not with the trophy, but with
other images - and then gotten screamed at for it.
Part of the concern is that the cost of ads is so very high and, therefore, so
is the expectation.
Like Carolyn and Denise, I have also experienced heartbreak from errors. The
one I still think about was in the show results a few years ago. I finished my
very first homebred champion, out of my very first homebred bitch. The dog was
in the Review, and so was his name and sire and dam. But the BREEDER (me!) was
listed as someone entirely wrong. Imagine?
For the record, I obviously do my own ads, so if there's a mistake in those,
it's on me and no one else.

I remember a long time ago the Von Stephanita Trophy was setting next to
the fireplace in the home of Jack Phipps. Jack was a local handler, but
more important, he owned a silver plating and refurbishing business.
The trophies had been sent to him for repairs and refurbishing. (They
came in big wooden crates)
When Jack was done with them, they looked magnificent.! But this was
probably 25 to 30 years ago.
Probably something of the same sort needs to be done again. (Sorry, Jack
has been dead almost 20 years now)
