I loved the subject line Judy used so I'm using it also. After finally catching up at home and at work, I would like to brag on my beautiful "Sparkle" who we showed at the St. Louis Specialties on Saturday. Don Smith gave her the nod for Winners bitch, being expertly handled by Kelly Salava, who took over the lead on Sparkle and truly makes her shine, they make a lovely team!!! She was doubled to perfection by Tiffany Bartley, her best friend in the world. Since Kelly was showing a special, Diane Brown stepped in and handled Sparkle during breed and if things weren't already exciting enough, she gaited her way right to the very top, being awarded Best of Breed over 8 Specials. Needless to say, we are all so proud, finishing in grand style with a 5 point major AND a BOB. A HUGE thanks to Diane who has never had her hands on Sparkle's lead and making it look like they had been a team for years, THANKS Diane. So now it is Ch. Tanbark's 2Much Bling v Joelle Aramist. Sparkle is owned by myself, Judy DeRousse (THE BEST co-owner a person could have), Tiffany Bartley (her best friend and personal trainer) and Donna Calabrese (without her Sparkle would not even be here). Thanks to all of you guys for believing in this girl. It does not seem like 2 1/2 years ago when this little puppy at 5 weeks of age decided to steal my heart and never let go. She is the second Champion from that litter, another litter sister has (2) 4 point majors and hopefully will finish soon. From the repeat breeding, there are 2 more that should finish, which bring me on to my next brag. Joelle's Tanbark's Kia placed 3rd in her Senior Maturity class under Jorge Noya and was expertly guided by Melissa Chavez, who had her hands full with this "wild" youngster. Kia has just been growing up and forgot most of her puppy training, so THANK YOU Melissa for your patience and great handling job. I would like to thank the St. Louis club for always putting on a great show, you guys rock. I know that Gail had her hands full and she had a great group of people helping her make it a successful weekend, in spite of the weather. I must say, we pretty much lucked out weather wise, it could have been soooo much worse. It was also great seeing everyone and getting to enjoy and share other's wins, it was overall a fun and exiting weekend. Thanks so much for letting me brag Chris Chris S.
