[ SHOWGSD-L ] Small Juniors brag

Small brag from the South Bay AB show in Torrance, CA. Today, under judge
Lani McKennon, Miss Karena Avila went 4th in a very talented Open Intermediate
class. These Juniors are amazing. Karena was showing Maggie (Milo's Here
Comes Trouble, CH Calarand Survival's Magellan X Utopia's Sexy Sadie) Maggie
is
co-owned by Karena. Karena has only been showing GSD's for about 8 mos and
after today (and pending a correction needed from AKC) she will be #15 GSD
Junior
Handler.
I like Junior Showmanship. It isn't ALL about the big win. When the kids
place, and defeat other Juniors, they get points. The big win is awesome when
it happens but when they place, the smiles are beaming :-) The competition is
very good. And, I haven't seen any other Juniors with a GSD showing in
Juniors for a long time. They aren't the typical push button dogs the kids
like to
show. Karena is dedicated to making this work. She and Maggie were awesome.
Karena is relaxing more in the ring and Maggie knows it. Maggie really moved
out today and they looked awesome. (Maggie loves Karena and klings to her if
Karena gets nervous, silly dog, lol!)
