I liked Lassie before Timmy not so much afterwards. I love Rinty as I have all
his
movies, the TV series as the GSD has always been a part of my life. :-) There
was no other special dog like a GS and never will be in my eyes.
I would just like to see the health and temperament issues improved on them
as way too many have problems today. I will continue to research pedigrees
of the GSD's with related temperament and health issues until the
answers are found.

I'm probably one of the few that never saw even one of his
movies or
shows.
Growing up in Bucks County PA my first love was Rough
Collies from the
"Lad" series of books, (Lad lived in Bucks County), but
Betty Irwin won me
over as a young teen with her great GSDs. We used to board
our family dog at
her kennel when traveling.
Betty's kennel was a wonderful place, met Connie, Ted,
John...before I
realized the importance and what an opportunity...got to see
some really GOOD
ones early on then later bought two from Betty when I built
my first house.
