[ SHOWGSD-L ] Short body length

Is it just me or are we seeing dogs lately who have very short backs?  
Then take a look at these dogs in motion.    The transmission from the 
rear to the front gets lost producing a bunched up top line because 
their hindquarter has no where to go.  Get a dog that has a less than 
ideal fore assembly with an extreme rear and the top line is a mess.  
I'd prefer to see a dog with a little length of back (not a train 
wreck), but he must have some length to have the proper transmission 
from rear to front.  Barbara
