I buy the fat butchers trim from steaks, etc. I buy about five pounds at a time, cut into small pieces, cook under the broiler until it is golden and well cooked. Then I put it into the blender and make a 'sauce" Add some water so it will not be a solid and will spoon out more easily when it is cold. I use about two tbs. per dog in their food after I have re melted it in the microwave. They love it and it keeps their coats like patent leather. it keeps quite well, but since I am giving it to only one dog at this time, I put it in four cup containers and keep only one in the fridge, the rest in the freezer.
