The most frequent mistake people make is trying to make the hair go in a
direction different that in which it naturally grows....it never works,
unless you are ready to use a LOT of hair spray and hope the judge doesn't
mind.
Try this.....wash your dog squeaky clean.....rinse her well and let her
stand. After she shakes it off, see in which direction it goes. That
natural look is hard to beat!! Now, when blowing the coat, duplicate that
look.

My dogs are always on the table. They've been on 2x today already (we
have rain & mud and with this funky warm spell they are blowing the start
of
their winter coat).
They are bathed the day before a show, groomed before their class/
BOB/Group, then that night any product is rinsed out when we get home
(always!).
