A number of dogs come to mind, but several stand out. Leroy Brown clearly was one of the most beautiful males you could ever want to see, but for me the dog who most exemplified the concept of "Ring Presence" was Charlie. You may remember him as Wellsprings Ironsides. Lamar showed him and he was absolutely stunning. Black and red with a slightly close ear set. Not the greatest mover that ever lived, but he commanded the ring like few then or since. Beautiful dog. He was a show dog. To be fair, Ch Lakesides Gilligans Island was also a dog who commanded your attention in the ring. And he appealed to all rounders as well as Shepherd enthusiasts. He was a bit lighter than I would like, but a great ambassador of our breed to the all breed folks who watched him. Wonderful temperament. Top winning dog of his time.
