[ SHOWGSD-L ] Review Editor Showing Dogs

I really do not have the time lately to post to the List but when there are
misstated facts I feel I must respond. After voting to offer Susan the
Review Editor position there was a motion which was presented to remove the
P&P
Statement about showing. Here is what Page 87 of the GSDCA Policy & Procedure
manuals says: "Editor may not judge, steward, exhibit or handle while Editor."
OK read it again, what does it say? Doesn't even say dogs. Doesn't say
steward at dog shows. You get my point. Yes, this initial motion was
defeated
because the entire statement needs to be redone and not because Susan was
named Editor, it needs to be redone for ALL Independent Contractors.
So, I named an AdHoc Committee of Lee Brown, Tom Mesdag, Paul Root, Kris
Fasano and Bill Pfeiffer to prepare an acceptable passage to be placed in the
P&P Manual. This report will be given to the Board for approval at the
October
Meeting.
I am not going to debate on this List, you can call me and we can talk but I
just felt the record needed to be set straight about what really happened.
In fact I am sure you can contact any Board member, they will answer your
questions too.
Now go back and read Tom's post, then do what he suggests, some real good
advice he has given ALL of US........
