Lew will need to post the results of the Regional Club Competition. I can,
however, post the results of the Regional Club Website Competition. I did not
want to post before the presentation was made.
Here is what I sent with Lew to be read during the presentation of the
Website awards:

2005 Regional Club Website Contest Winner Presentation
Communication is the key to any relationship. A Regional Club's ability to
communicate, both with current members and potential members or breed owners is
no exception.
In this computer age, communication to club members is frequently via the
Internet either by e-mail or through a website. In the past, prospective
members
or prospective German Shepherd owners checked classified ads in the newspaper
or flyers at the local feed store or veterinarian. Today most look to the
Internet to locate breeders, clubs, answer their questions and find other
resources.
In recognition of this new means of communication, the Regional Club Website
Contest was developed. My wonderful committee of Dania Karloff and Amy Safdir
performed an outstanding job of reviewing and scoring the websites with me.
16 Regional Clubs signed on for this first year of competition. Scoring was
based on Technical areas such as Ease of Navigation and Ease of Viewing and
Information areas such as Timeliness of Updates on current and upcoming events,
Educational Information and links and how to get in touch with club members.
There were many wonderful websites to choose from. Our congratulations to
the clubs and their talented webmasters for making the contest so much fun for
the reviewers.
We look forward to refining the process for the 2006 competition year and
invite all clubs with websites to contact us and enroll.
