[ SHOWGSD-L ] RESCUE/FOSTER NEEDED-SEIZURE CASE

We are reaching out to everyone who loves GSDs no matter the color. I
received a call today from the Geauga County Humane Society Rescue Village in
Ohio. This past week they had to do a seizure of 10 white GSDs. These
dogs were not abused but apparently the owner just gave up and couldn't care
for them. They are in pretty decent shape as far as health goes but they
have not been socialized or even walked on a leash. They range in age from 2
to 9 years. I spoke extensively with the behaviorist today and she said
they are allowing volunteers to handle them; have shown no resource guarding
or growling of any kind. Walking them is a challenge since they have no
clue what they are to do. They need experienced foster homes here in the
Ohio area. The dog will all be totally vetted. One is totally blind.
They have contacted Echo, White Shepherd Club, and American White Shepherd
Club and only Echo has responded that they couldn't help.

At this point, all Weeping Willow can do is network among our GSD family and
