Just chiming in from a medical view:
The Anconeal processes fuse between 4-6 months of age. Sadly, there's not a
darned thing we as owners can do to prevent it either; it's a developmental
disease.
If all the other pups are radiographed and found clean, they are okay.
Kinda scary to think ALL dogs run around for the first 4-6 months with
their Anconeal processes ununited !!!
I have known a few dogs with UAP who run around their entire lives and
never see a lame day. Sadly, I have also seen dogs be crippled by it as
well. I hope your boy is one of the former and does well that he had the
surgery.
