You do not catch a cold or the flu from being outside or from cold
temperatures. One has nothing to do with the other. You catch both from
coming into contact with germs from other people. The only reason cold/fly
season coincides with colder weather is because people tend to stay indoors
more when it's colder, therefore spreading germs. Just wanted to clarify as
not to scare people from ever being outdoors in cooler or colder weather.

However, I am not comfortable when cold either and would say IF our National
were to ever be considered outdoors again, we would have to think about having
it earlier. Early October at the latest.....depending on the region it was
held.

ere's part of a note I posted to a different list regarding having
erformance events the days before conformation, with a little elaboration:
Herding is already the weekend before and usually at a different site. It
oes make some sense to have everything on site and all performance on the

or people who do multiple performance events (which we already have to do),
ut we would eliminate conflicts between people who do performance plus
onformation. A schedule could look something like this: Herding
at-Sun-Mon Agility Sun-Mon-Tue, Obed Mon, Rally Tue, conformation Wed-Sat.

Conformation - definitely indoors!! I don't want to be rained on, snowed

ut maybe that's just me. ;-)
I think the bigger issues are footing for the conformation dogs and
andlers, and seating for the spectators. Yes, this facility was built for
og shows, but not a dog show like ours. I haven't seen it, but those
ssues do seem solvable. I would just ask that once we have perfected this
ite, we return to it every time we cycle to "central" so our flow would be
ast - Purina - West - Purina - East - Purina, etc. with West truly being
lose for the people who live there.
