All of the information is not presented below by Ken.
Yes, Debbie presented Purina but I for one had never been there (I believe
this held true for other Board Members). I sure liked the idea of a no cost /
low cost Purina site but with out seeing it I was not comfortable with voting
for it. I could not vote for Purina on the schetchy information relative to
total facilities as it would pertain to our breed being competed in Oct or
Nov.
The vote to me then boiled down to either Beaumont, Tx in 2006 or St Louis
where we had been. I voted for St. Louis. I'd love to see Purina but to date
it has not been scheduled by Debbie for a visit.
I for one as a Board member will look forward to visiting Purina as part of
the 2006 Nationals, regardless of the scheduling.

The Not One Board Member Voted for Purina just exhibits a prudent but
reasonable approach on the part of the Board members who voted for St Louis.
Remember that it was only one more than voted for Beaumont for 2006. To me it
did
not exhibit a dislike of the Purina facility. Had the St Louis vote been split
with Purina, we'd be holding the 2006 Nationals in Beaumont, TX rather than
Beaumont in 2008.

Important--read all.
On 6/6 Lew Bunch wrote to the list/s:
"I have presented Purina Farms to the Board as a show site, it is free, all
the venues except Tracking can be on site and Tracking is 10 minutes away.
We would not have to charge for seating, grooming, crating, anything. We
could have a dog show and yes it would be outside, you would have to bring
your
own lawn chair and an umbrella in case it rains, but folks, IT WOULD BE A DOG
SHOW. "
Then Tish responded to Lew on 6/6:
"I could be wrong but my recollection is that not one Board member voted for
this site when presented at the July Board meeting last year."
Tish: You have a very good memory. In fact, Debbie Hokkanen presented FOUR
proposals to the Board, one of which was Purina Farms. The Purina Farms
location would have been very inexpensive for the club and the membership,
however, as you state "NOT ONE BOARD MEMBER voted for Purina Farms including
those who supposedly wanted to go there. Regards, Ken Downing
