The below message is from Weeping Willow BOD member  Joe Maringo....a 
couple of years ago with the help of Last Hope Safe Haven Joe  saved this old 
girl who did have some GSD in her :-) .... Zena touched so many  of our 
hearts....would you please take a moment to check out the site and vote  for

Scroll down and please vote for "Zena loves Joe".  This is the painting his 
friend Deb Stonebraker who painted this of  our special girl Zena. For 
those that don't know or remember, Zena lived 17  years at the end of a chain, 
and when she came to us she had no eyes. They had  ruptured at some point 
during her life. Now in this painting Zena has crossed  the rainbow bridge and 
is once again whole. I always wondered what she looked  like with eyes. I 
can send you her full story if you are interested, or you can  read it in the 
book by Dogs Deserve Better that we have available for sale  titled "Unchain 
My Heart"
