I don't know either Diane!! Just trying to help this girl out.
I still don't have a answer for her as to IF these Panda GS can be
registered
with AKC? Anyone know?

Sure. I just responded on the other list, we have a few popular lines that
produce the "white blaze". Now, it isn't desirable, certainly, and to market
it as such IMO makes a mockery of the standard, but it's out there.

I did a line breeding on a rather nice (deceased) dog and one out of 11
puppies had a blaze. You could have knocked me over with a feather! Nose
black,
but then this white stripe (a big white splotch on her belly, white on the
tip of her tail and 4 very white feet; I nick named her "Bootsie".) Cuter than
heck. Well, as soon as the delivery was over and we were all cleaned up and
mom & pups resting comfortably, I reached for the phone and got my answer as
to where THAT came from lol:)

It seemed like she got all of the "white" in the litter. It's not unusual
for me to have some white on the chest and the occasional white toe; not so
with this litter. And the rest of Bootsie had very pleasing pigment.

Bootsie actually went to the nephew of a BIS judge for his family's pet. (I
didn't call her a "Panda" though and he had his choice between three bitches,
and choose with his aunt's blessing the one he wanted.) The white has faded
on her feet to a light-ish tan and the blaze has gotten smaller and less
prominent, but, honestly, we have it in some very popular lines. Who cares?
I
won't repeat the breeding, but I'd rather have a white blaze than a whole host
of other issues.

I have a standard answer for people that call looking for coats, off
colors, oversized etc. I tell them people who are passionate about the breed
don't
intentionally try for these "ooopps" and that we plan breedings to get as
close to the standard as possible . The "ooopps" puppies still deserve a
loving home, but to promote anomalies and market things that are less than
desirable as desirable and "rare" is IMO less than honest.
