A Newark, N.J.-to-Harrisburg flight carrying 30 people made an unscheduled landing at Lehigh Valley International Airport on Wednesday night when a cargo smoke warning light came on, officials said. ''The pilot got a baggage smoke warning indication,'' said Lt. John Demyan of the Airport Fire Department. ''The light stayed on and wouldn't go out.'' The Continental jet landed safely at 10 p.m., as seven firetrucks and six ambulances from throughout the area waited along the runway, and police blocked roads to the airport. The plane's passengers were bused to Harrisburg while the plane awaited a complete check by airport mechanics, Demyan said. Emergency radio dispatches reported a possible fire in the jet's cargo hold at 9:35 p.m. Demyan said firefighters checked the cargo compartments from outside and inside the plane, and they were clear of fire or smoke. Thankfully no fire, but a dog could ahve been in this cargo hold!
