Ms Martello raises a good question! ( she always does). I have changed my
proposal! Have three regional Nationals NOT on the same weekend, open to ALL
comers! You could have one dog/bitch win more than one regional..... With three
Nationals perhaps many folks can get to one or two of them!.... I say we do it
on a trial basis for 2018!... I see it now on the cover of the Review! " Flower
Boy's Dog goes GV in the West, in the Mid-West, and in the East!.... lol ... I
can tell you 1000 reasons why that won't happen... I have a hard time just
finishing a dog... Hell its only happened once! lol FB

I loved this post because it allows me to bring up an issue I have trouble with.

I know, don't use a preposition to end a sentence with.

But, I keep hearing people telling me how easy it is to finish a German
shepherd, not that the shows are so much smaller. In my opinion, (the only one
that matters), the quality is so much higher, and the entries such high
standards, that the challenge is the same. I don't see that it is easier to
finish a German shepherd than it was 20 years ago.

I don't find that it is easier to be true. The number of champions each month
in the review stay about the same. I have two bitches, both with both majors,
and one needing but two points to finish. Honey Be Good died needing one point
to finish.

It is just as hard, and maybe it is just me.

Do others find it easy to finish a dog?

Evan
