Also, the SV show is done OUTSIDE on beautiful green grass and no loud
reverberating sound and
unnatural flooring. A few of us went outside and watched for a while...but
not many
I might add......It was a beautiful thing to watch the Canadian National in a
big ring with beautiful sod!!
It was also great to see Bob Lindsey there with his camera!!!
We are losing money with our Club for more reasons than one...and hopefully it
will be addressed this year
without blaming West Coast sites!! We keep hearing that we are the cause
for losing money.... and yet
we seldom have a Western National?? How does that work??
RENO was never the problem......Utah was not the problem....nor was Colorado or
Seattle....it is the late
decision making process that is the problem. Given time, we could even
change the dates a week or two
to accommodate some of these sites. There are a couple of other big holes that
could be closed if the
Board is willing.......and the SV show needs a big hard look!
If the SV itself is not putting on these SV shows here........why are WE??
Did I miss yet ANOTHER VOTE on something?? <G>
Makes as much sense as us taking one of our Specialty Shows to Germany when no
one asks and having
it during their Sieger Shows.....?
If it is "many clubs" that want this.....are these Clubs helping to finance
these shows? Are these same
clubs supporting and helping keep our American Bred Specialty Clubs going??
Our Specialty Clubs ARE
the backbone of the Parent Club ...and many are not doing well....and
apparently neither is our Parent Club
with this new direction ....nor are some of us sitting home seriously wondering
when we will see another
National!!

Certainly not anyone I know. We can't have a National in Reno because it is too
expensive and the
PC loses money but it is ok to have the sanctioned SV show and lose money?
