Oregon city to Lake Saint Louis 2018 miles. Div by 19 miles per Gal. = 106.2
gal X's 3.00 per gal =318.60 gas cost.
drive time @ 50 mph minimum of 4 days on the road 4 nights at hotel at 80 per
night + 320.00
638.60 x 2 once going, once retuning Travel expense on the road trip to Lake
Saint Louis 1277.20
this does not include food because I would eat where ever I was.
How many people do you think are going to drive 4 days to attend a national in
the middle of the USA ? Every year with not hope of ever having it close to
them again. If there is no hope of attending another national then why belong
to the Parent Club?
What you will end up with is a group of people located in the center of the USA
that represents the American bred GSD. The rest of us will be the other guys.

As for USAir stopping flying dogs, over a year ago I passed word
from a l local GSD breeder who ships dogs for the Feds that this would
happen...all the airlines are sure to follow. The question is "how long
will it take?"
