And then there are thieves looking for an excuse to break in . . .
Also, I take my van to go shopping if I have large items like dog chow. The
plastic crates are visible from the front, but you can't see whether there are
any dogs in them. I can just see someone breaking in to save the poor dogs when
they aren't even there.

Last October when I was showing Liz's bitch, Brenda made me stay in the car in
the parking lot! I saw many dogs in locked cars, but the temps were very very
mild, might even say it was cold , certainly no dogs were hot or stressed! But
Stormy you are right! I could just see some wonderful citizen applying the law
incorrectly Ed

And remember, all those dogs in cars, vans and motor homes at dog shows?
Over-zealous busy bodies, ARs, love to get exhibitors in an uproar.

The safeguards that should have been in there were not included, although we
asked for them. There is no recourse for the dog’s owner if the dog is
aggressive and harms somebody. There is no recourse for car owners for those
impossible people who look at a car in 75º weather, in the shade and get the
dogs all excited and panting (therefore, HAS to be too hot and in danger).
There is not recourse for the dogs owner from the idiots that let the dog out
and it runs into the street and gets killed. The incidents are piling up about
owners who have parked their car, run into a store for 5 minutes, watching out
the window and seeing some idiot start peering in the car windows.
There have been more incidents of that nature than of dogs dying in hot cars…
and… btw… I have heard more about the canine police who have been killed in
their police cars than civilians’ dogs.

Our governor signed a new bill making it legal to break the windows of a LOCKED
HOT car to save a dog , the person must however stay with the car until the
owner or city/county animal officials arrive! Interesting law, I agree with it,
but I see trouble coming! Call Evan if you get into trouble around this law!
Butt is DONE ( two hours early. Ugh!!!). You can't rush or slow down a good
butt! I May get a call from Stormy about that one. lol FB
