Thanks Jim, I read the article...and yes I would say she has concerns which
many were blamed on over-breeding due to our breed's popularity....I believe
some of her statements are valid and a few of her conclusions are based on
illogical premises...she mentioned that one police department has gone from
using GSDs to Belgian Malinouxs because the Malinoux is more hardy and more
stable.....the Oakland Police department has had more trouble with it's
Malinouxs over the years from BAD bites ( including some of the OPD officers
getting bit)........no way is this breed more RELIABLE Â as a working police
dog...Miss Orlean was only able to site one police source for this
claim....the over whelming number of working police dogs in THIS country....and
I'm guessing Germany as well is the GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG....period....but I
don't want to fight or argue with Miss Orlean...and I plan to finish reading
her book quickly ( since I have no job..lol)...I think WE need to invite this
woman to the 2013 World show in Philadelphia!....I plan to read Daphne's book
when it comes out also....the death of our breed is greatly
