I remember the Lexington National well. The only place that it was warm was
in the john. My first National to show a dog was in Phoenix. I entered
Scotmars Hunting Man,aka George, a litter brother to Scotmars He's My Guy.,WD
at Denver National.George was handled by Doyle Williams.George was a
Santana's Man O War son and when Doyle saw him , He insisted on showing him
instead of me.The dog judge that year was Art Stramitz(spelling?) Specials
were
judged by Bob Denton. That was the first time i had seen Mannix. He was
lying at ringside and looked like any other pet. Then I saw him in the ring.
WOW !! What a Dog !! I still remember seeing Hollomors Judd, Rex
Edlumibach,Reno and other GREATS. Bud P.S. George didn't win.

My first US national was also in Niagara Falls think it was in 76. Ralph
Roberts judged and CTH Rosemary went GVX and Padechma's Persuasion I think
was GV. Rosemary's mom Angelique took 3rd select. Those 2 mom and
daughter were quite a beautiful pair.
First overall national was the Canadian national in 73, year after I got
into GSD's.

wasn't shown), CH JJ--but that National began my love for sables. I
got to see CH Aspen of Fran Jo, who became the Grand Victor. WHAT A
