[ SHOWGSD-L ] Microchip before entering shows?

I just realized where AKC was going with that (Carmen mentioned, at the July
Board meeting, that AKC was bringing this up, this requiring dogs that enter
shows to be microchipped). Went to the ARBI website (very interesting and
The Pet Registry is having shows and the dogs that enter those shows are
required to be microchipped. And that, of course, is a USDA requirement for
the
Large volume dealers now, that all dogs sold are to be microchipped.
Not that I think that microchipping is bad, it's GREAT!, but again, there has
to be some individual choice here. I microchipped all my pups before I sold
them....MY decision. And I wish that every breeder would microchip THEIR
pups before they sold them, but it isn't up to ME to say they SHOULD, just that
I wish.....
