Good deeds do pay off.
 
I had a young couple, I would say late 20's. Board their dogs with me for  
over 2 weeks. in OCT. when they went to MN to have a stint put in the husbands  
heart. They came back for another 2 weeks late NOV early DEC.because they had 
to  go back to do open heart surgery. 
 
While they were gone we noticed that their dog had been injured so they had  
a vet bill on top of the board bill. 
 
When they got back they asked if they could pay half and the rest in Jan. I  
said no I don't run accounts receivable. So they paid the bill. A few days 
later  I got to thinking of them so I called to see how he was doing. She said 
pretty  sore but was doing better. In talking to her I found out this was his 
4th open  heart surgery. Keep in mind he is in his 20's. We started talking 
about shopping  for Christmas and she said she stood in line from 3am until 8am 
waiting and  freezing for toys for tots to open. Then the toys she got were for 
baby's  not her 4 yr old and 7 year old. 
   These were very nice people that were trying very hard to make  it. I 
asked what her boys liked and she said Legos .  I went shopping and  bought 
several stocking stuffers and a couple of remote control cars and some  games. 
Got a 
$100 gift card at Walmart and took some of my baked goods and took  them to 
their house. They had a nice clean home . Un fortunately the bank is  
foreclosing. I can't save their house but I know I helped make their Christmas 
a  
little brighter. 
  Now you probably remember me saying my 11 year old GSD was going to  have 
her anal glands removed rather than go through the Batril. I took her in  for 
surgery this am and She is totally clear! No surgery needed!!!!
  I was able to park close, no waiting in lines and I was going 80 in  a 65 
and the patrolman just nodded as I went by.   MERRY CHRISTMAS TO  ME !!!!!!!
