[ SHOWGSD-L ] Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all of you this snowy Christmas morning. 6 deer in my
yard complete the picture. I went overboard on the outside lights this year
--added two five foot candles( one on each side of garage door. The one
thing I like about Christmas is getting calls or cards from ole-time
friends--like my college roommate who is now down in Arizona, . 4 yr roommate
at
Comstock hall at U of MN,and we've kept in touch these past 50 years. And
Betty Hinckley who ,with her husband Roger helped me start my local
GSDCMSP. Roger was President for two yrs,even though they were newly married
,living in an apartment ,and had just a small dog. She was happy to hear that
our club now has 168 members.. and then Ron and Patty Gates,in Iowa. Ron
Gates was one of the few handlers we had in our area ,along with Gary Staser
back then. And a fun card from Ted Beckhardt reminding me of many
wonderful fun things Connie and I had done together those early years. And ,of
course there is the "down" side ,when you don't hear back from someone ,and
you realize another one is gone. But that's life But I love the Christmas
spirit that everyone seems to enjoy
