So many people asked, so I thought I should clear us something.
I do not do well with authority and I hate hospitals. So, when I go to one,
I walk in like I belong and do not ask permisison, or get any type of
directions.

Tonight I needed a laugh and this gave me a big one. That is one of my
roles, going to hospitals and that is my approach. I carry a little cross
and when asked who I am and where I am going, I simply open my hand and show
the cross and then fold my hands under my chin and whisper something that
sounds like Latin and keep going. Much of life is like that. If you pretend
that you are in charge, no one else is, so you are free to keep moving.
I learned this from a burglar when I was a young cop. I went past a liquor
store and shined my spot light inside, then started to drive away. Then the
lights inside came on and a fellow grabbed a broom and started sweeping. He
looked my way, waved and smiled, and since there was not alarm ringing, I
waved back and drove off. Ya, you guessed it. The next morning the owner
called to say there was a hole in the roof and all the money was gone.
