LMAO about the Wack-a-doos!
There is a gal in our breed that can take any well socialized pup and turn it
into an idiot. HOWEVER, she had a beautiful black and white dog who had a sire
with a good temperament and based on everything we had heard, his dam had a
good one too. The dog was an idiot so we attributed it to "Sharon wrecking
another one".
We bred a proven producer to the dog and by the time the litter was 6 months
old, we put down 5 of them for being spooky idiots. We super socialized the
litter - even MORE than our other litters. One pet buyer returned one after
they said she went for someone (and then went for me when she got there, one
went after a training-instructor friend with all of her teeth showing in Puppy
K. and so on.
Well, come to find out that the dam of this dog - who we had been told had a
good temperament by several people, tried to eat me when she came to visit us...
SIGH... Hard to figure out what to believe this day in age.
Trust me, we NEVER breed to a dog we don't trust anymore.. It was quite the
learning lesson. Roxie was bred one more time and did two more Champions (would
have been a ROM had she been a GSD bitch).
