Bully is an interesting contrast to Ed's dog Teddy.
Teddy, (the dog), is one of the most beautiful dogs, (solid black), you
can imagine. Plush, great temperament and a good mover. Clean coming and
going and just plain impressive. Ed believes one pastern is too weak to show
him, many of us disagree.
Bully, (our Patriot son), on the other hand is dry, hard and one of the
best moving dogs I have ever seen, and that includes Big Ben and Destiny. He
is clean coming and going, has a powerful look with a straight and solid
back, and is leggy, looks and thinks he is still a puppy at three, and just
plain fun.
What is common is the temperament. Both dogs are a joy to be around,
nothing bothers them, and they take everything in stride.
To me, a dog has to have great temperament, move like the standard calls
for, and the rest will take care of itself.
There was a line in the movie, Forget Paris, when Deborah Winger was
talking about getting married to Billy Crystal. They asked about how to
squeeze
the toothpaste from the middle or the bottom, and if they wanted the window
open or closed at night. After they decided that, they determined things
like kids and religion didn't matter, they would take care of themselves.
It is that way at Asgard. If they have good temperament, and can move, the
rest will take care of themselves.
