In 18 days I will be a fully credentialed California Kindergarten-8th grade
TEACHER!...I started this long up-hill journey in August of 2001...working
and going to school at night at my advanced age was no "day at the
beach"......this past week I finished my last requirement...I taught my
Fourth grade class "solo" for the whole week!....running a class of 31 nine
year olds for six hours IS NOT EASY!...lol....the stress is over....there
are many on this list that have supported me through out this journey and I
will thank them privately, but there are four I want to thank right
here....Shirley Briggs O'Brien, a former Las Vegas teacher who has been my
friend for about 18 years...Colette Skinner a currant Las Vegas science
teacher...God only knows what these two women have done to help me...Jan
Coleman a former California teacher, and Darlene Ghigleri, every time these
two women would see me at a show they would ask me how school was going,
they don't know it, but their words
of
encouragement helped keep me going........makes me wonder about that old
saying..." be careful what you wish for, you might get it"......man am I
