I am very excited and hopefull of becoming a Member of your W. PA Club.
You girls are all on the RIGHT Mindset, to want to make changes for the benefit
of not only the Club, but your people that are showing dogs. WAY TO GO. This
is a time when we ALL need to make every effort to Encourage New Members, New
show people, New Handlers. Clubs that are Stagnant and don't want to put money
back into the members needs, or don't have Positive Benefits for their members
will learn the Hard Way.

Subject: [ SHOWGSD-L ] gotta club brag (a little long)
Hi all,
I just have to brag.........I went up to my old hometown of Beaver
Falls, Pa. for 3 weeks like I do yearly to visit all my family and attended
the Canfield Ohio shows which are always a great fun weekend and the
Northern Ohio puts on such a nice circuit and a spread of food for all. They
do a great job!!
My brag is for the GSDC of Western Pa. which is my hometown club. I have
made some very nice friends in this club and they invited me to their club
picnic at the Canfield show grounds. They are a small but mighty club who is
really trying to fund raise and build up their treasury to keep going. I
knew being my hometown I wanted to support them........these are a great
group of people!! They had a lovely picnic with all sorts of awesome home
cooked foods, they invited all their puppy buyers to attend and the puppies
played games like bobbing for hot dogs (too cute to see). They honored me
with the privilege to judge a fun match which was really cool since we went
over and moved every entrant like a regular match but didn't place them and
rather gave each one a certificate and a goody bag for coming and
participating........wow there were some big grins from ear to ear after
each one got their award.
They had a 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction for some really nice items to
help fund raise and they did real well.
Their members have a heart of gold and are truly dedicated to the
breed........I thank Pat & Vicki for all their hospitality and nice cool
visits in the A/C of the motor home when it was extremely hot outside and
the rides to the potty on the golf cart....you guys were lifesavers!!
I enjoyed meeting their members Jodi, Tammy, Donna and several others. I
hope everyone that can, attends their shows coming up and if you have any
nice items they can use for auctions donate them! They are very determined
to build up their club and end result it's very good for our breed!
I plan to join their club and support them from afar.........Amy
