At this time we have no firm commitments to transport Siegen so if you think you might be able to help please let us know. If Siegen can piggyback on an existing transport and we can help by driving a leg or two or overnighting another transport dog in St. Louis let us know. San Antonio GSD rescues have been very helpful with helping us find local vetting options for Siegen and have been very supportive as we try to get Siegen back to St. Louis. We do have an offer to possibly house him temporarily in northern TX in a kennel situation for a week or so to buy us some time to work on his transport. ************************************** Hi, I was contacted by the family that adopted this German Shepherd Dog from us. In the past we placed many GSDs through our rescue program. Since they adopted him, this family had moved to TX. Now they are in a crisis situation and their dog needs to come back to St. Louis to our program as they cannot keep him. This family has lost everything - their health, their financial means, their housing and they have rehomed their beloved birds and their other dog died just a few weeks ago. They will have to move into housing where he cannot accompany them. If you can help us bring Siegen back it will give them peace of mind knowing he is safely back in our program while they try to move forward with their lives and regain their health. They can keep him for about another 1 1/2 weeks. Any transports coming from San Antonio/Dallas TX that could give Siegen a ride to Southern Missouri/Saint Louis MO area? I am told the most likely transport route that would be successful would be: San Antonio TX - Dallas TX - Texarkana TX - Little Rock Arkansas - West Memphis TN - Southern MO - Saint Louis MO. We do have FTCR program volunteers Diane and Larry Tidd in Cape Girardeau in So. MO and he is covered from there! Siegen stands 29" tall and weighs 115-120 lbs. His vaccinations will be updated and he will have a health certificate for travel. He rides fine in a car but can be crated - his crate measures 4'long x 3' high x 2.5 'wide. He is on heartgard plus monthly heartworm preventative and Frontline Plus flea preventative. He will be wearing a rescue ID tag, is microchipped, and has a buckle collar and lead with him. http://www.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=3031491 Elizabeth Dukesherer, Director Faery Tails Corgi Rescue of St. Louis Inc. http://www.corgirescuestlouis.org * 314-779-7882 Faery Tails St. Louis German Shepherd Dog Rescue http://www.corgirescuestlouis.org/gsd APDT #062625 ----------------- Forwarded Message: ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2006.
