I believe what Ken was trying to say is that "Triumph' has none of the
potential negative issues you raised (that we haven''t seen in outcrosses
anyway)
like a "roach" back or short neck . He DOES have many of the positives
from the German dogs, beautiful bone, GORGEOUS head and expression,
without being coarse...(we see that sometimes in the American show ring ,
dogs that mistakenly
called masculine when all they really are , are coarse.)
He has beautiful front length of neck, croup, etc....with all that we also
opened up
the gene pool a bit. He got the good stuff, without any of the stuff
people are afraid
they will get with an outcross...and that as they say "ain't no bad deal"
lol.
We also are VERY excited about our Italian boy, "Kappo" full import lines,
but long neck, lovely front , beautiful back, tons of coat, gorgeous head,
and
spotless character and temperament. He is only getting started at just
now one year old.
He is a hoot...it should be very interesting to breed him to both import
and American lines..
Personally, we like a GOOD dog, doesn't matter from whence it came...
Greatest breed in the world, regardless of origin.
