Go with the progesterone. Have the stud dog owner ship the collection
once your gal reaches a 5 and breed 2 days later. Pull a test after the 5 to
be sure she has continued to rise.
I would think for this season, the first jump over 2 means LH surge and
that she will ovulate in 2 days, but I have had plenty stall over 2 as well.
That said the rule of thumb is once they hit 2, they ovulate in 2 then
breed in 2 (3 for frozen). Maybe your girl read the book...who knows?
Her last season means nothing...every season is different, weather changes
things, other bitches coming in changes things...GL.

.2, the next one we took on day 11, came back 1.2, took another one on day
14 was 2.3.
The last time we bred (AI) her she had 5 pups and we bred her on the 13th
and 16th, the 16th her being more receptive. We started progesterone
testing but with the xmas/new year holidays everything got messed up so we

on her signs. She had the pups 63 days from her first breeding on the
13th. Supposedly that means when she ovulated.
So she is flagging and is swollen, color is paling acts like she is ready,
but the tests are not saying that. This will be a shipped chilled
otherwise if the stud was closer I would be breeding now according to her
actions.
I am ole school and the color paling was always THE sign. : )
Are the progesterone tests pretty accurate? Could she just be slower this
time? The weekend throws a kink into this for shipping etc.
Any thoughts and advice is appreciated.
