What is being elitist? If it means we think we are better, then yes, I admit to it. Not only do I think it, but I know it. I think the German shepherd is the best of all breeds. I love the looks of an Irish Setter, but would not want to live with one. I think Newfs are great, but don't want one in my way when I want to get out the door. I think poodles are cute, but can't learn what I want them to know. I do appreciate the Coton, but they are too high strung for me. If being an elitist means I think dog people are the best, the German shepherd all around dog is the best breed, that we who show dogs are better than those who sit home and collect stamps, that those who collect spoons are not having as much fun as we are, then yes, I am an elistist. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Evan L.
