[ SHOWGSD-L ] Herding

Please don't bite my head off! I would like to suggest that the herding trials
that determine who the Herding Victor/Victrix is be held before the Nationals
in a place that can accommodate all courses. The person who owns the animal
that becomes Herding Victor/Victrix can opt to receive the trophy at the trial
or at the National. It might help to shorten the National some.
Also, would it be possible to have a ready ring for conformation. The ring
would be used by the steward to check in the next class. Owners or helpers
could have the dogs in the ready ring while the handlers are showing. It took
time after the classes were judged in Concord for the stewards to check dogs in
because the same ring was being used. It would help to eliminate down time.
