Dee= You should have immediately reported that incident to the Show Secretary.
At least that would have stopped the intended winner from winning. We should
not ignore blatant misconduct at our shows. Complaining to the proper
authorities "might" stop these dishonest actions. D.D.

Well, I personally heard it. The thing about being a 'newbie' is that no one
knows you and your pretty invisible even when standing close by. It's amazing
to me what I've over heard people say. AND, this particular judge is quite
well known and still judges frequently. It's not a matter of people talking to
one another and having a good time enjoying each others company. That's
different. It's when the conversation becomes what dog will win and why, I
have a huge problem with that. I won't show in front of that judge again. I
didn't have a dog entered that day so it didn't affect me personally. I did
have a bitch entered, and had to wonder if that was already discussed. In the
long run it affects you whether you have a dog entered or not. It affects the
sport as a whole.
People SHOULD be able to talk and have a good time, I'm not saying judges
shouldn't be allowed to talk and have an enjoyable day. What I'm saying is we
(as a group) shouldn't be so blind to believe that this stuff doesn't occur.
IT DOES! There has been all this conversation about what is wrong with this
sport. I'm giving you a personal example of what's wrong with it! If you
choose not to believe it that's fine. However, I now wonder about every judge
I show under, and why wouldn't I? But, I try to believe that most people are
basically good and until I personally know something different about someone I
will always give them the benefit of doubt.
