in any direction .....and IMO just makes the dog out of sync. What's the

They can ALL walk .......but being held up and back by a handler in the
small ring makes them very
frustrated and out of sync. Why would a judge want to see a dog choked
back to a walk with
a choke chain up under their chin like a Dobie to control them?
I'm sure this will start a small war........but it sure seems pointless to
me...........
Personally, I think every dog should be given an opportunity to show at
their individual best speed. I see dogs that have the most beautiful
suspension,
ruined by judges who insist on "walking", and dogs who are so full of
themselves that it takes them 3 times around to settle down........walking
them is
a total nightmare.
I never understood the walking request, but wish more judges would ask, and
reward, dogs who can truly move in a lose lead. There is no way to hide a
bad dog when they are really doing it "lose". And handlers know that <G>.
