Is it possible dogs that tested DM clear, may often be seen with DM as very
senior dogs upon necropsy? Is it possible that we are dealing with two types
of DM? One that attacks young
dogs prematurely and can be seen genetically, verses one that appears much
later in life and may
be caused due to arthritis? Twenty-seven years ago I lost part of one litter
to DM. It is a disease
to be fought aggressively with all tools at our disposal and never to be
ignored, unless you like
holding the head of your year old puppy as he gently takes his last breath in
your arms.

ebsite. They admit to at least 2 dogs already that tested clear but
ecropsy proved they had DM. There is plenty of evidence that this test is
nreliable, Kathy and I have spent a lot of time looking into this as
hould any responsible breeder. We all need to do our homework.
